At the inaugural event of the newly launched event series, Carsten Spohr will speak about the recovery and transformation of the aviation industry, solutions for a sustainable future, and the role of leadership in times of crisis. Konstantin Korotov, professor of organizational behavior at ESMT, will set the stage with opening remarks around the challenges of learning to lead today, including insights from ESMT’s expertise in executive coaching. The evening will be moderated by TV moderator, journalist, and consultant Astrid Frohloff.
About the speakers:
Carsten Spohr has been chief executive officer of Deutsche Lufthansa AG since 2014 and manages the Lufthansa Group with all its business segments. He became a member of the executive board in January 2011. Prior to this, he held various management positions within the Group, including chair of the executive board of Lufthansa Airline and Lufthansa Cargo AG. Carsten Spohr holds a degree in industrial engineering and the Lufthansa captain’s license for the Airbus A320. He is married and has two daughters.
Konstantin Korotov is professor of organizational behavior and faculty lead in the executive MBA program at ESMT Berlin. He received his PhD in management at INSEAD. In addition to his research and teaching on leadership development, coaching, careers, and executive education, he has over 25 years of global practical leadership development experience.
Astrid Frohloff is a TV and conference moderator, journalist, and business coach. She studied political science, literature, and journalism. After working in Hamburg, Hanover, Austin (USA), and Jerusalem (Israel), she now lives with her family in Berlin.
